Shiv Agarwal

Dr. Agarwal graduated from the premier medical school, Gandhi Medial College, Hyderabad, India. After completing his medical school, Dr. Agarwal moved to United States to pursue further training and did Internal Medicine residency at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital, affiliated with Columbia University, New York, NY. He then moved to Arkansas where he accomplished fellowships in cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology from University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. During his cardiology training, he served as Chief cardiology fellow. Before joining Atlanta Heart Associates, Dr. Agarwal was Assistant Professor in interventional cardiology division at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Central Arkansas for Veterans Healthcare System and served the proud veterans and people of Arkansas for five years.

Dr. Agarwal is board certified in Internal medicine, Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology and Echocardiography. He is an excellent researcher with >40 publications. His expertise is in high-risk percutaneous coronary intervention, IMPELLA placement, fractional flow reserve assessment, intravascular imaging, chronic total occlusion interventions, performing and evaluating all modalities of Stress-test. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology and Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions.

Dr. Agarwal has been well-liked by his peers, office staff and patients. He is a keen listener, detail-oriented, empathetic, and strong advocate for his patients. In his personal time, Dr. Agarwal loves to spend time with his family, doing outdoor activities including biking, hiking with his 3 and 5 year old sons.
