Jeevith Kanukunta
Dr. Kanukunta earned his medical degree from Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad, India. He completed his internal medicine residency at Detroit Medical Center and Wayne State University, Detroit, MI. In 1995, Dr. Kanukunta completed his cardiology fellowship at Providence Hospital and Medical Center in Southfield, MI. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He specializes in interventional cardiology and peripheral vascular interventions. He is accepting patients at our Mcdonough, Jackson and Griffin offices.
Dr. Kanukunta knew that he wanted to become a cardiologist from a young age. He can remember being a student in high school, knowing that he wanted to help patients when it came to their various heart conditions.
In his spare time, Dr. Kanukunta enjoys taking his dogs Leo, a Malti-Poo, and Kobe, a Goldendoodle, for long walks around the neighborhood. He always enjoys watching football, rooting for the Steelers. He enjoys watching Michigan football as well.
