Dandan Chen M.D.

Dr. Dandan Chen is an accomplished medical professional with a rich academic background. She earned her medical degrees from Guangdong Medical University and Sun Yat-Sen University in China, establishing a solid foundation in healthcare. Driven by a thirst for knowledge, she pursued intensive research in Vascular Biology during her Ph.D. study at Michigan State University in the United States, showcasing her commitment to advancing medical research and education.

Dr. Chen’s professional journey in the United States began with her residency training at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (Bronx program), New York, a period that laid the groundwork for her expertise in internal medicine. Complementing this, she pursued a fellowship training in Cardiovascular Disease at Emory University School of Medicine, Atlanta. This dual training not only solidified her understanding of internal and cardiovascular medicine but also positioned her as a skilled and versatile practitioner.  Dr. Chen’s impact extends beyond the clinic. She has contributed to numerous publications and book chapters, exploring areas such as salt-sensitive hypertension, cell therapies for ischemic heart disease and vascular complications from diabetes and hypertension.  Her research also delves into the intricate links between migraine and cardiovascular disorders, showcasing a holistic approach to patient well-being.

Dr. Chen is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology, echocardiogram (TTE/TEE), and cardiac computed tomography (CCT).  As a general cardiologist, Dr. Chen has special interests in women’s cardiovascular health, preventive cardiology, congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease, and valvular heart disease.  Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, Dr. Chen’s language proficiency reflects her commitment to reaching diverse communities.
